Qualifications & Training Outcomes

Throughout the work placement our placementee’s have undertaken both in house and accredited training courses. One of our essential skills training is digital literacy; 77% of all success2employment requires moderate or advanced Microsoft Office skills and less than a third of companies test for job-specific computer capabilities. A full quarter of "bad hires" fail on the job because of inadequate computer or administrative skills and these "Bad-hire" costs are 1-2 times of the employee's salary.

Our employability model focuses on the importance of tailored training to support the NEET population within Torfaen. We recognise the need to encourage and assist young people at risk of disengagement to participate in education and training through our employability programme.
