Employment Outcome

Over the last 4 months our employability programme has reached our 40% target for getting people back into work. This has been achieved by improving the employability standard of our training placements and volunteers so that they have the appropriate skills, abilities and confidence to apply for suitable employment.

In order to continue the momentum in meeting our long term future targets we need a sustained period of economic growth so that new jobs are being created. However, by improving the skills and confidence of our placements, we will provide a better chance of them gaining employment not only locally but being equally competitive within the surrounding areas.

Within the first quarter The Garnsychan Partnership has helped to reduce unemployment figures by providing placement opportunities, out of 80 placementee’s 33 (41.25%) in this period alone are now in full or part time employment.
